This one was finished yesterday for my daughter Sarah and this is #3. The inlay is her star sign. Back and sides; leopardwood Top ; lacewood binding ; oak and bwb purfling. fingerboard, bridge and headstock veneer ; wenge inlay, abalone & maple veneer Finish ; shellac based sanding sealer then Tru Oil nut & saddle ; unbleached bone. We trained a Guide Dog for the Blind last year and this is one the bones he used to chew! Any instrument at all made for one's child is a beautiful thing... and this one is also very nice! |

Sweet! Crazy what grows from soil sun and water. And Dad's shop! Do you find tonal improvement from bone chewed by a guide dog? |

Salt in my wounds. I was making one for my daughter and got a terrible flu that knocked me out a full week. Couldn't get it done for Christmas. She'll forgive me, but what irony to see yours posted today. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Very nice! I do like the looks of this. That lacewood top looks like sycamore. |
